DAILY: Chinese imported iron ore prices, sales both decline

China’s imported iron ore prices fell in both the portside and seaborne markets on January 15, accompanied by a slowdown in buying activity across the two markets.
On Thursday, Mysteel PORTDEX 62% Australian Fines in Qingdao declined by Yuan 8/wmt ($1.1/wmt) from Wednesday to Yuan 823/wmt FOT and including the 13% VAT, while Mysteel SEADEX 62% Australian Fines dropped by $1.05/dmt on day to $106.65/dmt CFR Qingdao.   Meanwhile, domestic iron ore futures also weakened after posting gains yesterday.
