Lithium Daily: Lithium futures price hit limit down with cooling sentiment

For lithium carbonate, the futures price hit limit down, and the spot transactions turned active, creating a new high recorded in the past year, especially when the prices were in the range of Yuan 146,200-151,000/tonne. Overall, the lithium prices pulled back after a quick increase triggered by the news of VAT export tax rebate adjustment, with the longs leaving the market after paying off, while the bullish sentiment was gradually digested and cooled down. In addition, should the battery cell cost rise substantially, it could partly hurt the demand in the energy storage sector.
