DAILY: Chinese imported iron ore prices edge lower, sales track apart

Chinese prices for imported iron ore edged lower in both the portside and seaborne markets on January 20, while buying activity showed divergent trends across the two markets.
On Tuesday, Mysteel PORTDEX 62% Australian Fines in Qingdao slipped by Yuan 5/wmt ($0.7/wmt) from Monday to Yuan 802/wmt FOT including the 13% VAT, the lowest in three weeks. Meanwhile, Mysteel SEADEX 62% Australian Fines fell by $0.95/dmt on day to $103.5/dmt CFR Qingdao, a more than two-month low.
