DAILY: Chinese spot alumina prices stay flat amid subdued trading

Chinese alumina prices in the spot market stayed largely flat on February 2, while those in the futures market showed volatility again.

Mysteel's assessment on the national average spot price for smelter-grade alumina with a minimum purity of 98.6% was unchanged from last Friday at Yuan 2,646/tonne ($381/t) including the 13% VAT on Monday.
