Yesterday, the CBOT soybean futures market continued its downward trend, with the main March contract settling at 1060 cents per bushel, down 4.25 cents or 0.4%. This decline was primarily driven by falling crude oil prices and the recent strengthening of the U.S. dollar, which has weakened the export competitiveness of American commodities. Brazil's soybean harvest is in its early stages, and forecasts suggest this year's crop will reach a record high. Following a recent surge in U.S. soybean purchases, traders expect China's soybean imports to shift predominantly toward Brazil in the coming months. In a report released on Monday, consultancy firm StoneX projected Brazil's 2025/26 soybean production to reach 181.6 million tons, a 2.3% increase from the January estimate.
