DAILY: Chinese spot alumina prices mark time, futures remain volatile

China's alumina prices in the spot market largely marked time on February 4, while those in the futures market maintained a volatile trajectory.

The national average spot price for smelter-grade alumina with a purity exceeding 98.6% remained stable for the third straight working day at Yuan 2,646/tonne ($381/t) including the 13% VAT on Wednesday, according to Mysteel's daily price assessment.
