DAILY: Chinese imported iron prices fall further, seaborne trading jumps

China’s prices for imported iron ore fell further in both the portside and seaborne markets on February 6, while trading activity diverged in the two markets, with seaborne transactions surging while portside trading weakened.

On Friday, Mysteel PORTDEX 62% Australian Fines in Qingdao dropped by Yuan 8/wmt ($1.2/wmt) from Thursday to Yuan 767/wmt FOT including the 13% VAT, the lowest price level in more than six months. The same day, Mysteel SEADEX 62% Australian Fines decreased by $1.45/dmt on day to $100.45/dmt CFR
