WEEKLY: China's rebar output drops further to 1.5-year low

Rebar output among the 137 Chinese steel mills Mysteel regularly tracks posted double-digit on-week decline during February 5-12, with the production volume falling by 11.7% or 225,200 tonnes on week to 1.69 million tonnes, marking the lowest weekly output level since late-August 2024, according to latest weekly survey results.

By province, steelmakers in South China's Guangdong, East China's Jiangsu and Central China's Hubei provinces contributed the most to the production decline, Mysteel's survey results showed.
