WEEKLY: Chinese EAF mills output yet to recover after CNY

Steel production in China's electric-arc-furnace (EAF) steel sector stayed stable during February 20-26 as most mills were still in Chinese New Year (CNY) holiday mode, Mysteel's latest survey showed.
Over the latest survey period, the average capacity utilization rate among the 94 independent EAF steelmakers under Mysteel's tracking was unchanged on week at 7.4%, while their average operational rate nudged up to 10.1%, higher by 0.3 percentage point from the prior week.   Only a few mini-mills in East China's
