DAILY: Indonesia's thermal coal supply remains tight despite RKAB progress

Indonesian spot thermal coal supply to the seaborne market is expected to remain tight in the near term, with cargoes loading before mid-April likely to be undersupplied, market sources said.

Several major Indonesian producers, including Berau, KPC and Adaro, have obtained approvals for their 2026 Work Plan and Budget (RKAB), Indonesian sources told Mysteel Global. However, authorities have yet to issue formal announcements. In exchange, the miners have reportedly been required to raise their domestic market obligation (DMO) from 25%
