Due to the rising premium of soybean oil over palm oil, India has recently canceled approximately 25,000 tonnes of Russian soybean oil orders, along with about 6,000 to 8,000 tonnes of South American soybean oil orders. The Russian soybean oil was originally scheduled to arrive in India at the end of March or early April, while the South American soybean oil was set for delivery between April and July. Geopolitical tensions have somewhat eased, and domestic overnight soybean oil futures followed palm oil's fluctuating downward trend. Spot market transactions remained weak, with basis levels accelerating downward.
