WEEKLY: China's coking coal stocks swell as output rises

The 523 coking coal mines under Mysteel's nationwide tracking saw their mine-side stocks mount during the week to March 5, as the rapid recovery in their production outpaced the sluggish growth in demand from end-users, Mysteel's latest survey found.
As of March 5, the combined raw coal inventories held by the 523 mines totalled 5.53 million tonnes, up 2.9% from the previous week.   The accumulation followed a further jump in output among the surveyed mines this week, as more privately-owned mines had resumed operations by the time of China's
