Price spread between 66% domestic concentrates and IOCJ narrows

Over the past week, the price spread between 66% domestic concentrates and IOCJ narrowed significantly, down Yuan 22/tonne week-on-week to Yuan 40/tonne as of March 12.

Among major iron ore varieties, IOCJ recorded the strongest price increase, rising by Yuan 42/tonne week-on-week to Yuan 930/tonne. The uptick was primarily driven by tightening spot availability, as portside inventories continued to decline-down 6.7% week-on-week to 10.96 million tonnes, the lowest level so far this year.
