DAILY: China's coking coal market continues moving higher

China's coking coal prices continued rising on March 26. Market players expect the uptrend to persist in the near term, although the growth pace may narrow amid growing wariness towards high coal costs among end-users.

On Thursday, China's national composite coking coal price rose another Yuan 5.9/tonne ($0.85/t) on day to Yuan 1,350.6/t including the 13% VAT, slowing from double-digit daily gains recorded in the previous three sessions. In North China's Shanxi, five miners raised their prices for different coal varieties by Yuan 2-92/t yesterday.
