WEEKLY: China's coking coal market softens amid easing sentiment

The steady climb in Chinese coking coal prices for much of the past month snapped during the week to April 2, with trading slowing notably amid easing market sentiment, Mysteel's latest survey found.

After three weeks of continuous rises totalling Yuan 116.4/tonne ($16.9/t) in China's national composite coking coal price over March 6-27, the momentum came to an abrupt halt in the past week. By April 2, Mysteel had trimmed its assessment of the price by Yuan 10.3/t from March 27, softening it
