DAILY: Chinese spot alumina prices slip for first time in over two months

Chinese prices for spot alumina largely declined on April 9, with the national average posting its first decline in more than two months, while those for alumina futures continued to trend lower.

Mysteel assessed the national average spot price for metallurgical-grade alumina with a minimum purity of 98.6% at Yuan 2,773/tonne ($405.8/t) including 13% VAT on Wednesday, down by Yuan 10/t from the previous day.
