China's FeMo prices climb to 7-month high

China's prices of ferromolybdenum (FeMo) climbed during the week of April 13-17, mainly thanks to better demand from steelmakers and the ferroalloy's firm cost support, Mysteel Global learned.

On April 17, the price of 60% FeMo in Northeast China, a major production hub for the noble alloy, was assessed by Mysteel at Yuan 288,500/tonne ($42,280/t) including the 13% VAT, increasing by Yuan 1,500/t on week and marking the highest since September 11 last year. Many steel mills returned to the
