WEEKLY: Chinese alumina prices fall further amid rising supply expectations

China's spot alumina prices weakened further during the April 10-16 week, largely pressured by an anticipated jump in refining capacity.

Mysteel's price assessment showed that the national average spot price for smelter-grade alumina with a minimum purity of 98.6% declined by 2% on week to stand at Yuan 2,709/t ($397.2/t) on April 16.
