WEEKLY: Better sentiment lifts Tangshan billet prices

Billet prices in Tangshan in North China's Hebei province rebounded during the week of April 13-19 as the market mood brightened, fueled by broad gains in prices of ferrous futures, the latest Mysteel data shows.

On April 19, Mysteel assessed the price of Q235 150mm square billet in the city at Yuan 2,980/tonne ($437/t) EXW including the 13% VAT, higher by Yuan 10/t on week. The warmer sentiment also set a foundation for higher spot trading of finished steel products rolled from billets, prompting some
