The 2026 spring planting season in the U.S. has gradually begun, with weather conditions in key production regions drawing attention. According to the Crop Progress report released by the USDA, as of the week ending April 19, U.S. soybean planting progress reached 12%, in line with market expectations, compared with 7% and 5% for the same period last year and the five-year average, respectively. Soybean harvesting in Brazil is nearing completion, with the USDA forecasting production at 180 million metric tons.
