Lithium Daily: Lithium transactions slow on price hike, while strong demand retains momentum

Lithium Demand Price Supply

For lithium carbonate, the spot transactions slowed with the futures price hitting Yuan 180,000/tonne, a near-term resistance, and the traded basis was flat. Currently, the demand end showed resilience thanks to robust energy storage market and rising penetration of electric vehicles, which carry way more battery capacity than electric passenger vehicles. Market players are advised to closely watch the weekly inventory changes.
