DAILY: Uptrend in China's coking coal market slows as holiday nears

Upward momentum in China's coking coal prices eased on April 29, with trading activity gradually slowing as the Labour Day holiday nears.

On Wednesday, Mysteel assessed China's national composite coking coal price at Yuan 1,346.7/tonne ($196.9/t) including the 13% VAT, with the daily rise of Yuan 0.9/t slowing from that of Yuan 1.7/t the previous day. Market analysts noted that the slowing uptrend reflected similarly easing trade in the coking coal market
