WEEKLY: Aust., Brazilian iron ore shipments rise for 2nd week

During April 27-May 3, total global iron ore shipments from 20 ports and 17 mining companies in Australia and Brazil under Mysteel's tracking rose for a second consecutive week to 26.3 million tonnes, up 1 million tonnes or 4% on week, driven mainly by stronger exports from Brazil.

During the latest survey period, Brazilian iron ore shipments from nine ports surged 1.9 million tonnes or 29% from the previous week to 8.6 million tonnes.
