Steel Scrap Demand Inventory Price
Chinese prices for ferrous scrap continued to move upward during May 11-15, as steelmakers' buying interest in scrap materials picked up last week, Mysteel's latest survey showed.
Mysteel assessed the composite steel scrap price higher by 0.9% from May 9 to reach Yuan 2,530/tonne ($371.5/t) as of May 15, while the national spot price for HRB400E 20mm diameter rebar stood largely unchanged on week at Yuan 3,490/t, both including the 13% VAT.     Some domestic steelmakers raised their
