Production of iron ore concentrates among Chinese mining companies retreated in the past week, with the reduction being observed mainly in East China, according to Mysteel's latest survey.

The total daily production of iron ore concs among the 186 mining and concentrating enterprises nationwide under Mysteel's tracking dropped 5,200 tonnes/day or 1.1% from the previous week to average 468,200 t/d over May 22-28, while their average capacity utilization rate also slipped 0.7 percentage point on week to
