Moreover, the market prices of cobalt sulfate and cobalt chloride both remained unchanged at Yuan 90,000/t-94,000/t and 113,000-115,000/t respectively.The current cobalt sulfate market is characterized by an oversupply. Large-scale smelters are maintaining high operating rates, resulting in ample supply. In contrast, downstream ternary cathode material manufacturers show weak purchasing appetite and generally maintain low inventory strategies, thereby exerting downward pressure on prices. Overall, the cobalt salt market showed a clear divergence. In detail, the cobalt chloride market experienced a relatively balanced supply-demand dynamic with stable prices, while cobalt sulfate continued its weakening trend due to lackluster demand from downstream battery materials.
