On June 9, the market price of electrolytic cobalt dropped Yuan 59/tonne to Yuan 407,973-411,409/tonne. In addition, the market price of cobalt sulfate continued to remain unchanged at Yuan 90,000/t-94,000/t, while that of cobalt chloride lowered Yuan 500/tonne to 112,000-115,000/t.Recently, the overall market sentiment for cobalt sulfate has been weak. According to industry news reports, this is due to ample market supply coupled with sluggish demand from downstream ternary cathode material manufacturers. Meanwhile, cobalt chloride prices have moved lower, with a strong wait-and-see attitude prevailing in the market, and downstream players replenishing inventory solely on an as-needed basis.
