China maintains stringent safety inspections across coal sector

As China's crackdown on work-safety lapses continues throughout its coal sector following the fatal mine accident in late May, the intensity has increased as inspectors fan out across several key mining regions in what could be a months-long blitz.

According to state-run Xinhua News Agency, the central government recently dispatched inspection teams to eight provincial-level regions, including Shanxi, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Anhui, Hunan, Guangxi, Chongqing and Xinjiang. As part of a nationwide campaign to prevent major accidents, the teams will conduct inspections during the rest of this quarter and
