Lithium ore prices edged down yesterday as lithium carbonate futures turned soft, but the spot basis for lithium ore remained relatively strong. And the lithium refineries continued to close their back-pricing orders in small amount.
For lithium carbonate, while the fundamentals remained solid, the futures price pulled back amidst still high warrants and some players leaving the market after paying off. The downstream players purchased on the dip, and remained wait-and-see when the prices rebounded.
