On June 26, the market price of electrolytic cobalt rose Yuan 5,386/tonne to Yuan 375,273-379,091/tonne. However, the market prices of cobalt sulfate and cobalt chloride moved down Yuan 2,500/tonne and Yuan 4,500/tonne to 86,000/t-87,000/t and 102,000-110,000/t respectively.Last week, the cobalt chloride and cobalt sulfate market continued its soft performance, with different product grades exhibiting divergent trends while the overall downward pressure remained intact. Trading activity in the cobalt sulfate segment stayed persistently thin, and spot prices edged down gradually. Primary smelters maintained relatively firm offers, whereas some recycling smelters and traders, constrained by cash-flow pressures, further cut their quotations. The persistent price erosion dampened downstream stocking confidence.
