DAILY: China's thermal coal rout extends to fourth day, outlook bearish

China's portside thermal coal market extended its losing streak to four consecutive sessions on June 26, with weak demand, softening import prices, and extensive pithead price reductions pushing port prices further into correction territory by the weekly close.

On Friday, Mysteel assessed 5,500 kcal/kg NAR thermal coal at northern ports at Yuan 851/tonne ($125.2/t) FOB with VAT, down Yuan 5/t from Thursday. The 5,000 kcal/kg and 4,500 kcal/kg NAR grades also fell by Yuan 5/t to Yuan 760/t and Yuan 661/t, respectively. At ports along the Yangtze
