National hog prices continued to move higher this morning. At month-end, farm sales have decreased, particularly from large-scale enterprises. Second-fattening buying interest, coupled with improved heavy-hog trading in some regions, has provided support for the price rebound. However, against the backdrop of oversupply, the sustainability of this price rally remains questionable. Attention should be paid to company slaughter/sales volumes going forward.
