DAILY: China's thermal coal market drifts lower at both mines and ports

Downward pressure continued gripping northern China's thermal coal market on June 30, spanning both mines and ports. In key producing regions, the long truck queues that had clogged roads weeks earlier have thinned drastically. Meanwhile, mine output stayed steady, though sales lagged noticeably.

In Ordos, North China's Inner Mongolia, the month-end production slowdown was evident. Some mines suspended operations after hitting monthly targets, while others were idled for longwall moves or safety checks. These curtailments tightened local supply, yet fell short of offsetting the persistent demand deficit. In Yulin, Northwestern China's Shaanxi, a
