Yesterday, vegetable oil futures showed diverging trends, with soybean oil performing relatively firmly. The core support for soybean oil currently comes from import costs, driven by U.S. soybean costs, making it outperform other vegetable oils. Yesterday, the total soybean oil transaction volume at key national oil mills reached 11,500 tonnes, down 9,300 tonnes or 44.71% from the previous day. Of this, spot transactions accounted for 2,500 tonnes, while forward-month transactions totaled 9,000 tonnes. On the mill side, the operating rate remains high, and soybean oil inventories continue to accumulate, capping upside potential. In the short term, soybean oil is expected to maintain range-bound fluctuations at low levels.
