WEEKLY: China mines' iron ore output, stocks both retreat

After rising for three straight weeks, production of iron ore concentrates among Chinese mining companies pulled back in the past week due to increased maintenance stoppages at mines, Mysteel's latest survey showed.

Total daily production of iron ore concentrates among the 186 mining and concentrating enterprises under Mysteel's tracking nationwide averaged 452,200 tonnes/day during June 26-July 2, lower by 13,300 t/d or 2.9% on week. Over the same period, the average capacity utilization rate among these 186 companies dropped 1.7 percentage points
