WEEKLY: China's SiMn prices keep rangebound, output dips

China's silicomanganese (SiMn) prices kept rangebound during the week of June 29-July 3, with the national price of 6517 SiMn under Mysteel's assessment standing at Yuan 5,631/tonne ($829/t) including the 13% VAT, edging down Yuan 2/t from one week before.

Prices in the derivative market performed well in the second half of last week, preventing any further decline in spot prices. On July 3, the most-traded SiMn contract on the Zhengzhou Futures Exchange for delivery in September closed the daytime trading session at Yuan 5,832/t, higher by Yuan 84/t
