DAILY: China rebar prices, sales both recover

China's spot rebar prices saw a mild recovery on July 6, supported by warmer sentiment in the futures market, which also helped boost spot transactions for the long steel product on the same day.

Mysteel's assessment of the national price of HRB400E 20mm dia rebar came in at Yuan 3,285/tonne ($484/t) on Monday, ticking up by Yuan 5/t from last Friday and snapping a losing streak for 13 consecutive working days. In the derivatives market, ferrous commodities started this week on an upbeat note, with major
