The main November contract for CBOT soybean futures settled at 1188.25, down 8.25 cents/bushel. During the session, Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soybean futures briefly rose to a seven-week high, but subsequently retreated from those highs as signs of easing weather pressure in the U.S. Midwest emerged, combined with profit-taking by traders. Market attention has now shifted to the upcoming USDA monthly supply/demand report to be released on Friday. Analysts generally expect the report to show that the U.S. 2026/27 soybean production estimate will be raised to 4.459 billion bushels from last month's 4.435 billion bushels, with year-end stocks for that crop year projected at 330 million bushels.
