MYSTEEL: China's ferrochrome output extends record run in June

China's high-carbon ferrochrome (FeCr) production rose for a second consecutive month in June, a gain attributed mainly to lower power costs in the country's southern regions during the rainy season and softer chrome ore prices that boosted smelter margins, Mysteel Global notes.

Domestic FeCr output totalled 951,766 tonnes last month, up 5.2% from May, according to Mysteel's latest survey of domestic FeCr smelters hosting over 95% of total domestic capacity.
