Chinese prices for imported iron ore tracked lower during July 20-24, weighed down by weakening fundamentals even as rising freight rates offered some support, according to Mysteel's latest weekly report.

On July 24, Mysteel PORTDEX 62% Australian Fines was assessed at Yuan 703/wmt ($103.9/wmt) FOT and including the 13% VAT, down Yuan 12/wmt from the week prior, while Mysteel SEADEX 62% Australian Fines had also lost $2.4/dmt on week to $98.9/dmt CFR Qingdao.
