DAILY: China's seaborne iron ore index dips largely amid fresh trades

The seaborne index decreased on Monday, August 3. The Mysteel SEADEX 61% Fines decreased by 1.48% or $1.40/dmt to $93.25/dmt, while the corresponding 62% Low Alumina Fines index decreased by 1.44% or $1.45/dmt to $99.50/dmt. Both indices are based on CFR Qingdao.

Liquidity in the primary market was improved. Two parcels of PBF with September 9-18 and September 10-19 laycans were traded at fixed prices of $93.2/dmt and $93.65/dmt on a 61% basis, and one parcel of NHGF with a September 1-10 laycan was traded at a fixed price of $92.8/dmt
