U.S. soybean harvesting is gradually getting underway, and persistent rainfall in the Iowa area over the coming week may slow harvest progress, providing short-term support; however, as conditions turn drier the following week, harvesting will accelerate and seasonal selling pressure will gradually emerge. On the demand side, Chinese purchasing remains the core support, with cumulative U.S. soybean sales this year doubling year-on-year, and the market has high expectations for next week's China-U.S. heads-of-state meeting; if progress is made on agricultural tariff adjustments, soybean, sorghum and corn exports to China could benefit.
