WEEKLY: China's 304 stainless market holds firm in quiet holiday market

China's spot market for 304-grade stainless steel remained largely stable during Mysteel's survey week of September 24-30, a week spanning the Mid-Autumn Festival from September 25-27 and preceding the National Day holiday over October 1-7. Prices stabilized across most regional markets during the week-long holiday, Mysteel Global learned.

Mysteel assessed the 304/2B Hongwang 2*1240mm cold-rolled coil in Wuxi, East China, at Yuan 14,200/tonne ($2,118/t) in-warehouse and including the 13% VAT on September 30, flat on week, while in South China's Foshan, the same product was assessed at Yuan 14,200/t, also unchanged on week.
