DAILY: Seaborne iron ore prices rebound approaching weekend

Seaborne iron ore prices increased on Friday, October 16, 2026. The Mysteel SEADEX 61% Fines increased $1.50/dmt to $90.50/dmt, while the corresponding 62% Low Alumina Fines index up $1.20/dmt to $95.10/dmt. Both indices are based on CFR Qingdao.

Trading activities in the primary market decreased slightly compared to yesterday. One parcel of MACF with a November 11-20 laycan was sold at $89.70/dmt basis at 60.5% Fe. And one parcel of NF of November 9-18 laycan was sold at $90.20/dmt basis at 61% Fe. One tender of combo of
