Overall, yesterday's cobalt salt market was characterized by stable quotations, weak transactions, and a downward shift in the transaction price. Although the declines in cobalt sulfate and cobalt chloride quotations narrowed significantly, actual negotiation and indicative prices have respectively moved toward the key cost thresholds of Yuan 40,000/tonne and Yuan 50,000/tonne. This reflects that, against the backdrop of electrolytic cobalt having not yet halted its decline, downstream purchasing remains highly cautious and the willingness to press prices lower is strong, while cobalt salt producers, with prices approaching cost lines, have very limited room for further price concessions. The market is in a bottoming-out phase as it seeks a new equilibrium.
