WEEKLY: China's rebar output recovers on week

Rebar production in China remained largely stable over October 22-28, with the combined output of the 137 domestic steelmakers under Mysteel's tracking increasing for a second consecutive week, rising by 3.7% or 64,500 tonnes on week to 1.81 million tonnes, according to Mysteel's latest survey.

Some steel mills resumed operations at their steelmaking facilities during the week, while others adjusted their rolling schedules to produce more rebar, both contributing to the mild recovery in output, Mysteel noted in its weekly roundup. Another Mysteel survey showed that rebar capacity utilization among the 137 sampled mills averaged
