WEEKLY: China's HRC export prices edge down again

After briefly stabilizing last week, China's export prices for carbon steel hot-rolled coil (HRC) edged down again during October 26-30, with Mysteel assessing the export price of SS400 3mm commercial-grade HRC at North China's Tianjin port lower by $2/tonne on week at $491/t FOB on October 30.

This was in tandem with the further decline of domestic hot coil prices. China's national spot price of Q235B 4.75mm HRC Mysteel assessed slipped further by Yuan 28/tonne ($4/t) or 0.86% on week to sit at Yuan 3,220/t including the 13% VAT on October 30, as reported. Softening coking coal prices recently
