DAILY: Price-cut talks heat up in China's met coke market

China's spot metallurgical coke market held steady on November 3. Price-cut talks intensified, with steelmakers reportedly considering cuts to their met coke purchasing prices while coke producers pushed back. The market remained deadlocked and participants are awaiting clearer price signals.

On Tuesday, Mysteel Coke Index (MCI) CDQ, which tracks China's national dry-quenched quasi-first-grade met coke prices, remained unchanged from the previous session at Yuan 2,107.9/tonne ($316/t).
