WEEKLY: Australian, Brazilian ore shipments recover 10%

Iron ore shipments dispatched from Australia and Brazil showed signs of recovering over July 8-14, up 1.98 million tonnes or 10% on week to 21.75 million tonnes, mainly because of the added tonnage from Australia, according to Mysteel’s latest data released on July 16.
Over the period, Australia shipped15.9million tonnes worldwide,remarkably higher by2.2million tonnes or15.7% on week, which was in sharp contrast to the 24.4%week-on-week decreaseover July1-7, MysteelGlobal notes.
Among the total Australian iron ore shipment, the tonnage bound for China recovered more substantially by 2.5 million tonnes or 21% on week to 14.4
