WEEKLY: China’s iron ore concentrate prices diverge

Offer prices of domestic iron ore concentrates across China tabled by miners in most regions dipped over October 28-November 1, easing by Yuan 10-30/tonne ($1.4-4.3/t) on week, while those in South China rose by Yuan 12/t on week, Mysteel’s latest weekly survey published last Friday showed.
The willingness of steelmakers to procure any iron ore last week – be it domestic concentrates and imported ores – cooled markedly because of the new round of emergency production curbs imposed on mills in North and East China for five days commencing October 31.
